Conditions of use of the Million Dollar Mates website
Welcome to the Million Dollar Mats website
This is the boring part where I have to tell you a few rules about how you can use the Million Dollar Mates site.
You can look at most parts of the site without registering but if you want to register for the newsletter then you will be asked to tell us your name, email and age (including whether you are 12 or over). If you are younger than 12 then you must have your Mum or Dad or guardian’s permission to join the Million Dollar Mates website. You must be truthful here – no lying! If you are younger than 12 and do not have your Mum or Dad or guardian’s permission I’m sorry but we can’t make you a member of the Million Dollar Mates website. If you tell us you do have their permission, we may check this, and if w find out you don’t have their permission then we’re sorry but we will end your membership of the Million Dollar Mates website straight away.
If we give you or you choose a username and password for the Million Dollar Mates website, you must keep these secret from everybody else – that way, there is less chance of somebody pretending to be you when they use the site.
We sometimes make downloads available on the site (such as fun wallpapers for your computer or printable bookmarks). Always speak to your parent or guardian before downloading these things and make sure they are happy for you to download them to your computer.
If you send us something we like via the site or by email – for example an answer to a competition question – I might want to show everyone else. By writing to us or sending
things to us, you and/or your Mum or Dad or guardian are agreeing that we can use what you’ve sent to us (or part of it) in any way we want to and for as long as we want to (for example we might put it up on this site, or on another related website (such as the Million Dollar Mates microsite) or we may even print it in a book). You can still do whatever you want with the stuff you send us it’s just that you agree we can use it too. If you don’t want me to do this then please don’t send things to us.
Remember to check with your Mum or Dad or guardian before you send us anything and ask them if it’s ok.

You will also be able to access the Cathy Hopkins website made available to you by Cathy Hopkins through the Million Dollar Mates website. You will need to make sure that you read and agree to any separate conditions of use of the website.

Information about the material on the site and how you are allowed to use the site
The material on this site (including the pictures, words and downloadable content) is owned by Simon & Schuster UK Ltd, or licensed to us (i.e. we have obtained the rights to make the material available on this site.)
You are allowed to use the material for your own personal, non-commercial home use but you are not allowed to use it for business or commercial purposes (including making money from the material on the site). You are not allowed to copy, reproduce, download, broadcast, post or transmit any of the material on this site elsewhere and you agree not to adapt, alter or create other material from or using any of the material contained in this site or use it for any other purpose other than for your personal, non-commercial home use. If you contribute to the site you give us the right to use your contribution free of charge on my site, on other relevant websites we may publish and/or in other publications (be they online or in print) and to amend or adapt your contribution if we think this is necessary. For example, we may post only part of your comment online. If you do not wish to grant these rights to us, please do not submit contributions to this site. We reserve the right to withhold from publication any contributions which in our opinion do not comply with these conditions and to remove any contributions from the site for any reason. We cannot promise that all comments we receive will feature on my site.
Access to the site and the Million Dollar Mates newsletter club
Whilst we try our best,we I cannot guarantee that the site (or any part of it) will always be available when you go online or that access to the site will be uninterrupted or free from errors – my site changes regularly. Whilst we try our best to make sure that the site and the material on it are accurate and up to date, this is not always possible. The site and the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons relating to our books (or to any other person’s products and/or services), are provided for information purposes only and on an “AS IS” basis.We cannot guarantee that any material on the site (including the downloads available on the site) will function correctly or not contain viruses, bugs or harmful materials. Any download from this site will be at your own risk and we recommend that you install security software on your computer which helps block viruses, bugs and harmful materials.
Access to the site is permitted on a temporary basis and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend parts of my site without notice. We may also stop or block your access to the site without notice for any reason (including for any breach of these conditions).
You will only be able to receive the Million Dollar Mates newsletter if you have registered to do so. If you are under 12 years of age you will need to get your parent or guardian’s consent to register for the Cathy Hopkins newsletter. When you register for the newsletter you will be asked to tell me whether you are 12 or over, or if you are younger than 12, that you have your parent or guardian’s consent. Please be truthful as if you are under 12 and do not have your parent or guardian’s consent you are not allowed to be a member of the Million Dollar Mates newsletter club and we will stop your membership straight away.
Information about you and your visits to the site
You agree to provide your true and accurate information when joining the Million Dollar Mates newsletter club or when contacting us or when using a registration form.We need to make sure we have up to date details for you and so you agree to maintain and promptly update any registration information whenever it changes (ie if for example you change your email address). You can update your details by contacting me via my Contact Me form
We hold and use information about you and your visits to the site in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the site you agree to let us use your information in this way.

We may from time to time offer competitions on the Million Dollar Mates website. Each of these competitions will be governed by specific rules that relate to that competition. For some competitions and to receive certain prizes we may need to contact your Mum or Dad or guardian and get their permission.
